Ditch 'em.

I wanted to wait before posting about this evil. I wanted more information.

What else needs to be said? A bit more. I hate being right. Over 20 years ago I discussed the “issue” with cellphones and like devices with my family. I told them that I believed those devices could be turned into a remote controlled “assassin.” I was right. I knew that the batteries could be exploited. I did not know how. Now I do. Now the technology has been unveiled, an “old technology.” All devices are suspect, this I believe. Why? Because they contain hazardous materials that can be exploited remotely. Fires, off gassing, and possible explosion, all hazards to organic beings.

“BEIRUT, Sept 18 (Reuters) - Hand-held radios used by Lebanese armed group Hezbollah detonated on Wednesday across Lebanon's south, in Beirut suburbs and the Bekaa Valley, further stoking tensions with Israel a day after similar explosions by the group's pagers.”

“Lebanon's health ministry said 14 people had been killed and 450 injured on Wednesday, while the death toll from Tuesday's explosions rose to 12, including two children, with nearly 3,000 injured.

At least one of Wednesday's blasts took place near a funeral organised by Iran-backed Hezbollah for those killed the previous day when thousands of pagers used by the group exploded across the country and wounded many of its fighters.”

“A Reuters reporter in the southern suburbs of Beirut said he saw Hezbollah members frantically taking batteries out of any walkie-talkies on them that had not exploded, tossing the parts in metal barrels.

Lebanon's Red Cross said on X that it was responding with 30 ambulance teams to multiple explosions in different areas, including the south of Lebanon and the Bekaa Valley.”

“Hezbollah, which was thrown briefly into disarray by the pager attacks, said on Wednesday it had attacked Israeli artillery positions with rockets, the first strike at its arch-foe since the blasts, which raised the prospect of a wider Middle East war. The Israeli military said warning sirens sounded a number of times in northern Israel but there were no reports of any damage or casualties.”

“Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant said on Wednesday the centre of gravity of the war was moving north, where Lebanon borders Israel, with more troops and resources being transferred to the area.

"We are opening a new phase in the war. It requires courage, determination and perseverance from us," he said, in remarks at an air force base. Images of the exploded walkie-talkies examined by Reuters showed an inside panel labelled "ICOM" and "made in Japan."

“According to its website, ICOM is a Japan-based radio communications and telephone company.”

“The company has said that production of several models of the ICOM hand-held radio have been discontinued, including the IC-V82, which appeared to closely match those in images from Lebanon on Wednesday and which was phased out in 2014. There was no immediate reply from ICOM to a request for comment on Wednesday. The hand-held radios were purchased by Hezbollah five months ago, around the same time as the pagers, a security source said.”

So, let’s get this straight. The people are carrying around an “assassin” in their pocket or purse. I never realized, back in the day, just how “addicted” people were to those “things,” and it took awhile for me to comprehend it. Now I do with clarity.

The people are VOLUNTARILY carrying around a device that is “always listening, always videoing, always tracking them, and always collecting massive amounts of data from usage.” The cellphones know where the people have been, in a timeline, who they contact, who they talk to, who they text, what they purchase, where they scroll and probably 1000 other hidden entrapments.

Now the device has taken on a different role. It is now a “push button” killer. Anytime someone decides, they can surreptitiously activate the device and make it catch fire or explode. A hacker, a agency, a devil, anyone can activate the device and utilize it to do harm. Yet the highly addicted people are not going to care. They will keep the “minder,” in their pockets or purses, they will keep the “incendiary bomb” front and center. That is a level of mind washing that boggles the mind.

How about keeping a rattlesnake in the pocket or purse? Or a “stick of dynamite” in their pants? It is the same, in fact, the cellphone is much worse. The snake will bite once, as will the dynamite, but the phone will “lay in wait,” spy, collect information, over extended periods, and then strike.

Now, is the public at large in danger? Not to be a kook, “probably not.” At least not yet. The big problem for sane people is balancing the snake; and comprehending the capability and danger. How much electronic devices is enough? How much more “romancing” of them does the public engage in? How many more “checking every five minutes,” or holding the device in the hand, all day?

The scientific community has told the people, over and over, that the phones are insalubrious, that they emit high levels of radiation that can harm cells in the brain, and that they should be “handled with care.” Now that warning carries a different tone. Now the phones and devices have become both a covert and overt assassin.

Please do not keep those devices on your person. Please store them in a bag or purse, preferable leather, and when storing them at home, “ALWAYS PLACE THEM WHERE THEY CANNOT IGNITE OTHER THINGS. Store them on a table, counter or bare floor. Never store them next to flammable items.”

This will prevent a fire in case of a malfunction or cyber attack.

p.s. The lawsuit is gonna be huge. Why? Product liability? Park the Tesla outside.
