Irrefusable offers are pushbuttons.

Monopolies, cartels … Corleones.

What might Benjamin Button say to the proposition that the only legit pushbutton is that which goes poof buttonpushers?

Would that get out of hand?

Or would the resulting hand-me-down world be much more of a helping hand place than this one that Burton Cummings & The Guess Who sang about … even back when the slide hadn’t picked up as much speed as now?

Life can only be understood backwards, but it must be lived forwards. ~ Søren Kierkegaard

And the button wo/men have always been making good - bad - on trigger-fingering offers.
