So yeah, "We want to know the pedigree." I can name my French/Spanish people back to the 15th century and my other family, English, to the 10th. Our other names go back beyond the calendar. Pedigree is our "aboriginal blood connection" to the land. It may not matter to some, but that "blood" has ben spilled on this land.
