Firstly, loved the brief conversation between Grandmother and Granddaughter 😊
Great piece on slavery porn and the way it is weaponised to further divide and rule.
A complex deeply layered history reduced simply to Orwell: "Four legs good, two legs bad." In other words pick a side, are you black or white?
I have travelled and worked extensively in Louisiana and what you write chimes with my experience and interactions. I only wish I had been in touch with you then so I could buy you dinner 😊👏👍
Wait, are you saying that the notion of the slavery of Africans is a myth? If so you need to supply references and links if you want to substantiate such a radical proposition.
As the saying goes: "no picture? it didn't happen!"
It's not radical. My family has no slaves and our paperwork goes back to 1605. According to Henry Gates in 400 years only 92k "Africans" came here. We were already here as slavery was one of the colonial businesses during the King Phillips war. There was no Africans involved. Just us Indians and WHITES. The person in the recording is my family member who is almost 100. She has no childhood recollections of slavery, or slaves period nor did her grandmother born in 1889. The whole "african thing" is a hoax, or at least told in reverse. They wasn't bringing africans in, they were shipping all of us INDIANS out.
